Camping Falterona is a unique place for those who want to completely immerse themselves in nature. Its terraces stretch from the National Park of the Casentino woodlands at a height of 840 metres o.s.l., which allows its visitors admiring breathtaking landscapes, bump into the numerous inhabitants of our forests from deers to squirrels, to foxes and roe deers.

From here it is possible to set off for beautiful treks through centenary chestnut groves and beech tree forests heading towards the top of mount Falterona and the source of the Arno river, but also towards the Idols? lake, considered sacred during the Etruscan civilization. Our woodlands are within easy access (about 10 min) of Stia, in the heart of Casentino, where it?s possible to visit famous historical churches like Poppi, Romena or Porciano, but also the sanctuary of La Verna or the hermitage of Camaldoli.

Visitors can choose to go for a swim in the Arno river or to take part to a horseback riding excursion to explore the area, or just to enjoy the superb cuisine and the wonders that this land has to offer.
